Open ledger · updated 2026-08-24 · KnightByrd Demand Observation Method v1.0
What people ask to be built, what we do with it, and — the part nobody publishes — how much of it does not survive contact with a standard. The numbers below are whatever they are this week.
32 requests observed. None cleared the bar.
Zero is the honest number this week, and it is the normal one. Most things people say they want are said once, by one person, with no indication anybody would pay. That is not a failure of the sources — it is what unfiltered demand actually looks like, and it is precisely why counting mentions overstates a market.
All three must hold. Published and versioned, so that if it ever moves you can see that it moved.
1. Asked for by more than one person, independently.
One person wanting something is an anecdote. It is also the state of almost every idea ever posted online, which is why counting posts overstates demand.
2. At least one person states what they would pay.
Interest is free. A number attached to it is the first evidence that a market exists rather than a preference.
3. Opportunity score of 45 or higher.
A weighted combination of stated willingness to pay, request volume and feasibility. Below 45 the signal is not separable from noise.
One request can fail more than one condition, so these do not sum to the rejected total.
Stated exactly, because “observed on a public forum” and “somebody told us” are different kinds of evidence and only one of them means anyone chose to tell us.
Summarised and linked, never reprinted — these are other people’s words on other people’s sites, and they belong to whoever wrote them.

Want something built? Say so on Nexus. A request made directly counts for more here than one we found — it is the only kind where somebody chose to tell us.
